Superman Returns

It appears when Cyclops died in X3 he was reincarnated in Metropolis. Once again as a cockblock. I'm surprised he wasn't the Astronaut from Spiderman 2.
Anyway, about the movie: .... it was the best Superman movie so far. But what does that really say?
Them craazy Jews: Part 6
I'd say this is by FAR my best comic to date... I made up the lightbulb joke a while ago, it's as funny now as it was then...

Them craazy Jews: Part 5
If this isn't a scene from Teen Wolf then this comic doesn't make a lick of sense, but I really don't care..

McOdyssey pt 2

the problem with television today is that there's not enough Ben Mulroney. all they got him doing is hosting Canadian events and Canadian Idol (which is also stupid because Canadian judges are too damned nice). what we need is to get Mulroney on action movies and sitcoms. he's a handsome man, the ladies love him... but he needs a whidher awediance.

Them craazy Jews: Part 4
don't read this if you have a weak constituion.

i was searching some questionable things in Google the other day when i came across 'Pink Floyd.' no, not the Pink Floyd you're thinking about, but a sexual maneuver. it's not and uncommon occurence in the scat porn industry... see, a 'floyd' is what the professionals call it when the pornstar defecating had diarrhea and it all comes flowing out with a gassy fart, spraying onto the other. that's just a regular floyd, though. a 'pink floyd' is when a woman having her period does it. not only does the diarrhea spray out with a gassy thrust, but the constrictions cause blood from her decaying uterus to also dribble onto the victim.
fun, no?

Them craazy Jews: Part 3 OR How does a tree get to new york?
HE TAKES A PLANE!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! fuck you assholes! On a side note, this comic marks the first usage of my favouritest word in the whole wide world, guess which word it is...

it happened again

after listening to a lot of Radiohead, i've come to this conclusion... they're not half bad. they're 3/6's bad. i mean, out of the six albums they've put out, only three of them are that good. Ok Go, is their best record. it combines swift, nut kicking greatness like Stellastarr* with the slow crashing melodis of Sigur Ros. however, the other albums, like Hail to the Thief, wind up coming off as nothing more than Pink Floyd or Matthew Good rip-offs. not suprised, Mr Good is supremely good. their strongest records are much better than M. Good's earlier highlights. i'd even say Ok Go is better than Beautiful Midnight and Kid A is at least as good as Last of the Ghetto Astronaughts. however, there's just something they lack a lot of...
originality.
however, i do commend them for putting out half of their albums as larks... you know, insults to the music industry. Radiohead's good for a summer's listen. however, they dont have much lasting power. it's no real suprise they havent gotten mainstream recognition.

Is there a difference?

let me ask you a question... is there a fundamental difference between punk and indie music? i mean, besides the fact that 'indie' kids seem to have a better sense of fashion, is there a real difference between the musics?
nothing.
well, mostly.
indie rock is just 'happy' punk rock... and emo? there's no differecen between it and punk as well (and therefore no real differnce between indie). emo is just 'sad' punk rock.
Snapple White Tee

I find it a little too coincidental Snapple releases a white tea flavored drink soon after everybody and there brother begins wearing white tees/dresses (also known as "Tall" tees).
This joke brought to you in the high quality expected of a Theory comic.

Blogger? More like Crogger!
i've been thinking on this whole music industry thing... you know, about what i said about the whole music industry being crap. well, it's not, it's just stagnant. it's not going anywhere. the mainstream has stopped moving forward... or backwards. it's stuck in a moment, grinding gears away. eventually it's going to grind itself away.
this can be stopped... there is a counter-culture that's producing infinitely superior music out there (i will no longer refer to it as 'indie' because certain readers aren't thick skinned about these things). these new bands are producing high quality music, music that people would actually enjoy for it's quality and for the fact that it's something new (or at least a new mixture of new things)!
as much as i enjoy older music, i cannot condone simply sticking one's self in an era and listen to the same bands over and over again. yes yes, blah, blah, blah, each to one's own, and they probably wouldnt like the 'other music.' well have they even listened to it? these people who are stuck in eras dont even know of the existence of this counter-culture. i'm 100% sure that if given a chance they would be able to find NEW bands that suited their tastes. new bands of this counter culture that these era-stuck dinosaurs would actually enjoy.
whoa whoa, you say, who am i to call people who like such and such decade of music dinosaurs? well, let's use an example... in politics you have the RightWing Conservatives who dont wish anything to change. they're from the past, they like the past and they want to present to be the past. then there's the Liberals, who claim to be for change and think they ARE making change, but are really just doing the same thing over and over again (with occasional pushes forward and falls backwards). then tehre's the NDP who are more progressive and all for more radical changes. (and of course the Green Party who are too radical to be taken seriously most of the time and the Bloc who just want utter change).
now, let's apply this to music. the Liberals are essentially todays Much Music and radio... the 'mainstream.' the corporations pumping out this crap think they're doing something different but are actually just rehashing the same old shit over and over again... ha, and radio execs wonder why cd sales have dropped. the NDP are the counter-culture of music that a lot of people know about but most dont pay attention to it because they think it's too weird, or some other lame excuse. well, they're not. the counter-culture is what our future will be. the Green Party would represent genres of music that mean well but never strike it rich with the mainstream, like Techno music and Reggae and the Bloc would represent music that wants to break apart and do its own thing: Experimental. anyways, the Conservatives would represent those fools who stick themselves in decades and only listen to that music... you're slowing down the music industry by only listening to old music! do your part in being a better person and mix the old with the new! jesus, the only way to make new music better is to advance it beyond the rut it's stuck in! if you dont bother with the new it wont advance, it'll stagnate, much as it is now!
you'll feel like a better person for supporting both, and you'll actually be doing something constructive!

Them craazy Jews: Part 2
I'm going into town tomorrow on official Pink Floyd related business, and I wont be back for several days so I figured I'd post part 2 before then...

Them craazy Jews: Part 1
So I decided to write an actual story arc, and unlike a certain jackass who's name starts with a Miker, mine wont be left unfinished... I've actually already MADE all the comics, but I'm going to space them out over the next little while so it looks like I've done more work than I really have... Enjoy...

Note to the anonymous fuckface who's most certainly Alison: Don't bitch about the spelling of "craazy", I meant to do it like that...

Stumpy?, whats a stumpy?
so, yeah, anyways this is to introduce the newest theory of people member stumpy, formerly of down with stumpy. with the recent turn over here at the theory of people some members have seem to be in a sort of lull so some fresh blood 'ought to liven things up.Euoohd

it appears Stumpy is now a Theory of People member. so much for trying to destroy him.
if this dont win back the crowd, nothing will!

Blohhger? Mhore Loik Nhoggher!
like any good mouth-opener, i should probably defend the words of my similarily titled post that was made a few days ago, especially in light of all the questions and comments.
firstly, i apologize for dancing around my topic with hyperboles. i was in a rush to make a point and seem to have distracted everyone from seeing it with silly comparissons.
basically, i was at work and we were all listening to the radio and garbage like James Blunt and Stabilo and that pop-singer chick who warbles her voice all funny like, kept coming on. i made a comment on how i wished there were some better radiostations in the valley and my boss agreed. i asked her what she listened to and she gave me a decade... the 80's or 70's or something. i said that was cool and she asked what i listened to... so i told her and she uttered a single laugh and rolled her eyes.
so thenceforth came my post. course i didnt want to use names or be specific (but now you bastards are forcing my hand) so i commented on those kinds of people in general. all i really wanted to say was this:
a) people who look down on others because of their tastes
b) people who refuse to expand their horizons
and well, looking back on the post, i guess i also wanted to say that c) i hate people who listen to bands like Simple Plan and Fall Out Boy and buy their stuff, therefore encouraging them and their labels to make more of it.
and yes, that IS hypocritical. oh well. EVERYONE is hypocritical. anyone who says they aren't is being a terrible liar.
anyways, anyone who's ever had a conversation about music with me knows i detest labels and genres and avoid them as much as possible. in this rant i was just being unrealistic with the wording i was using. please take note: i dont even know what the fuck 'sugar-pop' is. i was just trying to make a headway into my argument as fast as possible.
also, it isnt fair to assume i'm an 'indie' kid because i listen to 'indie' music in conjuction with other music.
i like Antonio Vivaldi for his concerto's and other string arrangements. he's not classic classical but i like him. Ennio Morricone also has a way with strings. he's composed some of the best movie scores i've ever heard. i used to listen to 50 Cent but now i'm bored with him. he's not very innovative. i do like Gnarls Barkley and Outkast quite a bit. recently i've been listening to a lot of Sam Roberts (heavily influenced by 70's rock) and Daft Punk. Brian Wilson's solo stuff and the Beach Boys have always been favourites of mine and i listen to the RollinG Stones constantly as well. Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss are great. Kyuss has been around for a while. so has Jane's Addiction and i listen to them. oh, and Everclear. a lot of their songs sound the same but they're a guilty pleasure. Billy Talent, Sloan, My Bloody Valentine, Beastie Boys, Depeche Mode, Sloan, Filter, Gorillaz, Green Jelly, Coldplay, Matt Mays and El Torpedo, Sigur Ros, Jean Michel Jarre, John Carpenter, Matchbox 20, Sloan, Supertramp, The Vogues, Wilco, The Thrills, The Tragically Hip, Sloan, The Killers and Sloan... all great bands that i listen to on a regular basis. i love these guys. note that none of these are what you would call 'indie' bands. neither would you call Arcade Fire or Franz Ferdinand 'indie.' it's good music though.
anyways... keep in mind that this is a blog and that it's sad that i'm posting my rants of the world in it... and even sadder that people are commenting on it. i doubt i'll double-check my writing in the future so this'll probably happen all over again, in which case i'm merely going to post a picture of Stumpy being rectally abused by a chimpanzee in latex rather than try to explain my actions.
fun Fun FUN!

Trees need love too!!
A Comic by Stumpy?!
So I made a few crappy comics about a talking tree over at Down With Stumpy, and for some reason Eric decided to invite me to the Theory... So I figured, what BETTER first Theory comic to make than a WTC one? Enjoy...

Sometimes George Says Things

so yeah, my girlfriend was sick in the hospital so i stayed by her side all weekend cause i had nothing better to do. and her parents left and doc was like, "hey, visiting hours are over, go home." and i'm all like, "do i have to?" so he lets me sleep in her bed and promised to wake me up before her parents got there the next morning. so the next morning he wakes up and goes, "hey you! quick! in this chair!" so i'm upa nd in the chair and like, "wtf is going on?" and the doc says, "her parents will be here any minute! drink this and look awake." and i drank it and it was poison so i passed away in the chair.

Blogger? More like 'Nogger'

anyone notice that today's music industry has gone downhill? well, okay, yes, i KNOW that most people online would agree with me. there's a bigger problem at hand though... all those people that WE, the intelligent listeners of music, make fun of, like the fans of cloned-bands like Simple Plan and Fallout Boy and sugar-pop stencil-cut bands like Christina Aguilera and 50 Cent, are out there somewher ein countless droves. THEY'RE the reason the music industry is dying. the corproate fat cats found cheap music that idiots are willing to buy so they dont have to make a move at all. yet all the pundits worry that cd sales are dropping... yeah, cauise though there are millions of crap-listening music fans, there are millions of other who want something NEW! everyone in a while they get it right with bands like K-OS and Gnarls Barkley and Franz Ferdinand and Arcade Fire... bands who, while they may not be EVERYONES cup of tea, are at least out there trying to make some truly original music.
so in the end we have four camps of people... people who listen to Much and MTV music crap, people who are tired of that and listen to independant music, people who are also tired of MTV but dont knwo about independant music and thus are stuck in certain time frames like the 60's and 90's and people who just dont like music...
and what i'm trying to say with all this, is that people who dont like MTV and just give up on new music in general in order to get stuck in a timeframe piss me off. yeah yeah, sure they get along fine with me when i say i hate MUCH and the radio stations... but then they ask me what music i listen to. Led Zepplin? 90's songs? country? no, no, none of that. new bands, stuff you find in obscure record stores and online. new guys no ones heard of yet. they grin and scoff at me like i'm some kind of alien. hey, fuck you assholes, at least i know the music scene isnt completely dead. beneath the dead layer of skin is a wealth of talent that the world hasnt been fully drenched in yet.
bands like the Animal Collective, Wolf Parade, Godspeed you! Black Emperor, The New Pornographers and The Wrens are receiving critical acclaim by nearly every music critic that gets their hands on a copy and yet it's still a rare encounter for me to run into someone who's heard of them, let alone someone who genuinelly likes them and i can chat to them about.
*sigh* alas, the culture a live in.
anyways, new comic. as you can see, i mostly gave him pink monopoly moneys. i wont have no 'funny money's in my hand.

Sometimes George Says Things

i had an idea a while back to do these occasional comics of a guy named George... to replace the failed Incontinent Man. anyways, basically it'd be him rambling on about some stupid bullshit with some funnier pictures. with more thought i realized i'd get the same point across without annoying pictures if i just wrote it. so, thisis teh first. but the rest from now, whcih i do plan to do occasionally, will be written out. enjoy the first 'Sometimes George Says Things' rant.

i'm a fan of Matthew Good. s'no lie. i found this article on the net of Matthew Good discussing his thoughts on Radiohead's OK Computer and Kid A albums. while i've listened to Radiohead and like a couple of their singles i've never been a big fan. mainly because i'm wary of the hype they recieve. anyways: euooh

do you know what apathy is?
apathy is Miker creating an alter-ego under the code name CAL9000 or whatever i was gonna call him, and pretending to hire a new Theory member just to post shitty mspaint comics and then never mustering the energy or interest to follow through.
so yeah, the CAL thing was a gimick.
i gave up. i'll just show up and starting doing my usual thing again.

i've been away, that much is obvious. i wont return until Kovier starts his summer. however, to inspire some more movement on this blog i've hired another person... sorry guys. anyways, the person in question is someone most of us know, but in a shammy stunt, neither myself or the person i've hired will reveal their identity. instead, we're going to pretend they are ACTUALLY a computerized artificial intelligence that shits out terrible MS paint comics. anyways, i also made a comic myself to introduce the person in question...
